Donner DC87 VS Behringer B2 Pro - Yossic C87S - AKG C3000

Ciao Davide, tra quelli in commercio in Europa l’Aston Spirit, seguito dal Behringer B1 e poi B2. Quello che più gli somiglia è lo Yossic C87S che si trova in Cina. Su ebay lo stesso modello ha nomi diversi perché magari acquistato in stock dalla fabbrica con personalizzazioni tipo marchio e gagliardetto incollato. Di fatto è un u87 copiato. Poi c’è il Microfon Parts S87 che ha un circuito Shoeps senza trasformatore ma equalizzato molto simile.

@PaoloBalestri grazie per la risposta immediata e super esaustiva, sono molto interessato al mic parts, anche per il fatto che posso costruirmelo da solo, ho un akg 414 xlii e suona molto ma molto naturale, poi un warm audio wa 87 r2 che suona bene, caldo ma penso che non centra nulla con l'u87 originale.

@davidecaglia9498 allora dai un occhiata anche a Mic&Mod, producono cloni o meglio ricostruzioni in kit di montaggio. Non paghi la dogana ed avrai un prodotto piuttosto buono!

Qui si ascoltava roba a basso costo 😇 Non mi tentare! Vade retro! Ho famìglia... li guardo e li ascolto da un po! Parliamo comunque di prodotti non entry level, per quello ho già parecchi microfoni ma, non ti nascondo la tentazione!

@maxnax9278 Ma infatti capita! La mia socia ha il suo preferito e non è l'U87! Però è una battaglia fra titani e l'Australian così come la Lewitt hanno sfornato prodotti notevoli e diciamocelo, l'U87 è una vecchia gloria e uno standard ma non è certo il solo!

I'm not crazy about them. They're old designs with a lot of self-noise and built with really poor, low-quality materials. Today, you can find much better for less. For speech, but also for instruments. But that's my opinion. There are Chinese microphones that sound much better and are unbranded. But I don't see it as a good long-term investment.

Multipattern U87 style, maybe Warm WA-87. Lewitt got a lot of mics. Rode, why not but I don't love so much the new series but I have the NT1 '90 and it was superb. sE Electronics, it's great. AKG P420 better than B2... yep. If you don't care about multipattern, you can chose Lewitt, Austian Audio, WaissKlang - I got V13 and L1. Under 12dB self noise, high clean and crispy.

Your device is pretty good, maybe one of best prosumer on the market. If you make music or voice you may have specific requirements. I use an Apollo because his Virtual Rack analogic style. You could love the SSL2, pretty good price great ssl sound. If you want start to listen the quality of low jitter and high quality samplings you could try Apollo or some RME or Focusrite rack models. Budget rules 😊

@sdaspb Without knowing your unprocessed sound, I took the liberty of listening to a few tracks from your channel. I hear you record with a woman, both with beautiful voices. Before thinking about the sound card, since you do a lot of post-production anyway, I'd focus on the ambience, especially since you're recording with two people and sometimes you can hear the difference in distance between one narrator and the other. If you were doing it together, it would be a figure 8. Otherwise, it's just a matter of adjusting the levels. Anyway, you have a good sound for the type of product I've heard. A microphone that incorporates a figure 8 and is fairly quiet, at a very attractive price. SE Electronics: sE4400 - top class €500 sE2200 - a classic Neumann-style great mic AKG: For your work, I still recommend the P420. Aston: the Spirit. A slightly more lively U87. Warm Audio: WA87R2, I'm not considering the JRs; they cost less but are also much less valuable. RODE: NT2-A, or the NT2000, or if you have a bigger budget, the K2. Avantone CK-7+, very clean and excellent value. WaissKlang: The only one for you would be the L1+, a TLM103 multipattern, a bit clearer, open, suitable for modern sounds, very quiet. But you buy them factory-made, you can't find them in stores.

​@PaoloBalestriThanks for your detailed and expert response! I have used the following microphones for recording: Rode NT1 (the '90s version), AKG C1000S (Austrian-made), and Shure 565SD. Now I have a new setup: Rode NT1 (5th Gen), Shure 565SD (vintage), Fifine Tank1, Fifine 726, and a couple of different Alctron microphones. However, I might need to switch polar patterns. I think I’ll settle on the AKG P420. Although, that will put me over budget.

NT1 ‘90s… I have one too! The best they dis! 😁
